ASCENDANT:
In astrology, 'Ascendant' is another term for Rising
Sign, which is defined as the zodiac sign that was coming
up on the Eastern horizon at the time and geographical
location of your birth. This is not to be confused with
the Sun Sign, which most people know as their zodiac
sign.
AURA:
It
is an energy field or 'life force' that surrounds an
object as a diaphanous outline of sorts. The most interesting
claim of auras is that they contain useful information
about the objects they surround. The colors and intensity
of a person's aura are said to convey meaning. Most
people cannot see auras, but many experts in the field
claim that we all have the ability within us to see
our auras. Authorities agree that a person's aura can
tell you a lot about them. We cannot fake the color
or characteristics of our auras, and therefore, it is
said that our auras show our true nature and intentions.
Everything has an aura, including all living creatures
and inanimate objects. Auras of living creatures can
change, and are said to emanate from the charkas. Auras
of non-living objects are essentially fixed.
AUTOMATIC WRITING:
Simply
stated, automatic writing is a free-flowing message
sent by an entity in the form of the written word via
a person. It is sometimes called 'trance' writing, because
it is done quickly and without judgment. The person
may appear in a trance-like state, putting down whatever
comes to mind. This is accomplished with a writing implement
and paper or a computer and keyboard. The messages may
be in a language foreign to the person's own native
tongue and the handwriting can be unrecognizable to
the person penning the words. It may also be lacking
spaces and punctuation. Pictures or symbols may be part
of the writing as well.
Automatic writing allows the person access to the entity
for guidance. It can also serve to retrieve information
from your unconscious and/or provide insight.
CHAKRA:
According
to Tantric philosophy and Yoga, chakra is the Sanskrit
word for 'moving wheel.' The chakras are vortexes of
energy present in the energy centers of the body. The
charkas are not physical, but they function as pathways
for energy to be taken in. They are a part of your consciousness
in the same way that an aura is a part of your consciousness.
There are seven such chakras and each one is associated
with a section of the body, as well as assigned emotions,
thoughts and functions within the body.
Chakras are assigned a color, which is displayed in
a person's aura, and can help to reveal a person's spiritual
and physical health, as well as one's karma.
CHANNELER:
A channeler is someone who receives messages
of advice and teachings from a spirit guide or guardian
angel. The channeler's relationship is a direct, beneficial
one. A guardian angel serves to protect a person from
harm and a spirit guide provides guidance and knowledge
in order to help further one's path to spiritual enlightenment.
CLAIRAUDIENCE:
Clairaudience is defined as one's inner voice,
translated it means 'clear hearing.' This is the power
to hear sounds that are not audible to the normal human
ear, but exist in the tangible world or in another dimension.
(Not to be confused with the voices some schizophrenics
may hear.)
CLAIRSENTIENCE:
Clairsentience means 'clear knowing' or 'clear
thinking,' and it means your inner sensing. Those with
this ability can perceive information out of the range
of ordinary perception. It is not tied to one specific
sense and can manifest as feelings, sensations or smells.
It's the subtlest way of receiving psychic
messages, and many people may not even be aware it is
happening and explain it away as a revelation.
CLAIRVOYANCE:
This term is often used as a catch-all phrase for psychic
ability, but it really describes one's inner vision.
A French term, which translated means 'clear seeing.'
And it's the ability to 'see' what is not physically
in front of you, in the form of an image or event in
the past, present or future.
I
CHING
This
3,000-year-old I Ching has 64 hexagram configurations
that comprise an entire philosophy based on the Yin
and Yang principles. The aim is to achieve and maintain
balance in your life via a messaging system, which involves
tossing coins in sets of six. The male or active energy
of Yang encourages actions and ideas. The female or
receptive energy enables adaptation and flexibility.
KABBALAH
Hebrew mystics who wanted to reveal the physical and
spiritual laws that govern mankind's
soul and the cosmos devised the Kabbalah. This form
of numerology assigns a number to each of the 22 letters
of the Hebrew alphabet. Words can then be translated
and reduced to a single number, each of which has its
own specific interpretation. Everyone has their own
personal numbers based on their date of birth and their
first and last name. The birth date is your 'life number;'
it is unchanging and represents your inner nature. Your
'name number' is the way you express yourself to the
world - your outward personality.
MANTRA:
Historically, a mantra is a word with spiritual significance
in Hindu culture. In general, a mantra is a syllable
or word without meaning that you focus on while meditating
in order to achieve a deep state of relaxation. This
method is used in Transcendental Meditation and it has
been shown to be a very effective technique.
According to the teachings of Transcendental Meditation,
thinking a mantra helps you focus your attention inwardly.
Regular meditation has been shown to help eliminate irritability,
even reducing blood pressure. Benefits are numerous and
its affects are lasting, as meditation has been known
to mitigate the body's reaction after a stressful event.
MEDIUM:
A medium is someone who can contact loved ones
who have passed from this Earth. This special ability
allows him or her to communicate with the deceased individual
in another realm or dimension. The death of a family
member or friend can result in unresolved emotions and
questions for those left behind; a psychic medium can
help bring them peace.
PALM READING
American
culture places meaning in a handshake. A palm reader
would tell you to pay attention to the energy surrounding
you during this contact. A palm reader looks at key
marks and lines on the palm. The main lines are the
Heart Line, Head Line, Fate Line and Life Line. Traditional
palm reading would have your passive hand - the hand
you don't use to write - be indicative of your innate
self, your potential. This hand's lines remain unchanged.
And, the active, dominant hand is the one that changes
to reflect your achievements in growth. Although, nowadays,
palm readers believe the lines on both hands are dynamic,
and each hand influences the lines on the other.
PENDULUM
Dowsing
has been used for centuries to find water. The pendulum
method has many applications. It has been used to find
missing people and items, heal negative energy, or detect
health problems. A necklace can make a great pendulum.
And the more you keep it with you, charging it with
your own healing energy, the better it is said to work.
Have you ever seen someone dangle a necklace over a
pregnant woman's stomach in order to predict the sex
of the baby? Same thing.
PSYCHIC ASTROLOGER:
Simply stated a psychic astrologer is a clairvoyant
who is also an expert in the use of the zodiac. He or
she specializes in using astrology to provide insight,
offer advice and make predictions. Based upon a person's
date and time of birth, which determines their astrological
sign, a comprehensive profile of a person can be drawn
by studying their natal chart.
Talking to a gifted psychic
astrologer can help you understand what your horoscope
specifically means for you. Psychic astrologers
can show you how the planetary positions affect you,
as well as maximizing their benefits and minimizing
their consequences.
RUNES:
Runes are an ancient alphabet made up of a combination
of Germanic, Anglo- Saxon
and Scandinavian letters. The Runes characters are actually
very similar to the Latin alphabet, except that the
lettering is made up of mostly straight lines. (Perhaps,
because they were often carved into wood with a straight
edge.) The word 'Rune' is derived from the Old English/Old
Norse term 'run,' which means mystery. And the letters
were used for more than a thousand years, dying out
sometime between the 13th and 16th centuries. Today,
they are often used in a psychic's tool bag for aiding
in predictions.
TAROT:
The
'Tarot' is a deck of cards, with each of the cards assigned
an astrological meaning and numeric significance. The
Tarot is considered universal because each picture has
symbols from ancient world cultures, such as China 's
Yin and Yang, the Egyptian Ankh, Europe 's royal hierarchy,
and the Hebrew Kabbala.
There are traditionally 78 intricately illustrated cards
in a deck, divided into two parts, the Major Arcana
and Minor Arcana. Many psychic Tarot-card readers ignore
the Minor Arcana and focus on the more powerful Major
Arcana; others incorporate both in their readings. The
22 Major Arcana cards symbolize the universal themes
of the human condition - what makes us tick - and the
patterns of human nature. The 56 Minor Arcana cards
and their four suits represent the energy, emotions
and activities of our daily lives.
The Tarot has an uncanny ability to help us look within
ourselves for answers. In the hands of a clairvoyant
Tarot
reader, you can gain insight on relationships, career
matters and more.
TEA LEAVES
The
wet tea leaves that cling on the inside of your teacup
mean something. It's all in the symbols you see in the
shapes that the tea leaves form and their positions
on the cup. The handle region represents everything
having to do with your home life. Opposite the handle
represents everything to do with work and business.
The remaining two sides and bottom of the cup signify
periods of time. Specifically, the bottom symbolizes
the distant future, sides denote the near future, and
the rim of the cup refers to something in the present
or very soon. |
